The Bert Fish Medical Center Foundation gives you an opportunity to leave your personal fingerprint on the delivery of healthcare in this community.

Our Foundation was founded in 1995 and serves to connect philanthropic gifts designated to support Bert Fish Medical Center. These gifts are used by the hospital to supplement the delivery of quality and convenient healthcare and ensure the health and well-being of our community.

The Bert Fish Medical Center Foundation is led by a board comprised of community leaders who share a vision for creating a Culture of Philanthropy. These endeavors provide long-term benefits to patients who choose Bert Fish Medical Center for their care.

Caring people have designated gifts from their estates, their bank accounts and their community foundations. But all the giving has been from the heart.

Whatever your interest; the very latest equipment, technology, clinical training, patient care or decorations, we are greatly appreciative of the donations we receive from friends and benefactors. Our team of professionals are good stewards of these gifts.

Patients at Bert Fish have benefited from the kindness of some very generous donors. Most recently, foundation gifts initiated new healthcare services, provided endowments for nursing students and helped purchase a state-of-the-art bed for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for our patients who are in their most critical conditions.

The end result of this philanthropic effort is that our neighbors do not have to leave their community to receive treatment from other healthcare sources. They remain close to their home and family for high-quality treatment of most healthcare needs. This benefit greatly enhances the quality of life for all.

Giving Opportunities

Cash Gifts

You can mail a check to the Bert Fish Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, NSB, Fl 32170. Your cash donation can be specified for a particular purpose or allowed to be unrestricted and used for one of our many projects.

Real Estate

Many people are surprised that you can leave real estate (property or home) to The Foundation. It can help you avoid the difficulties of selling property and you do not pay capital gains taxes. The hospital Foundation would then sell the house or land and the proceeds benefit the hospital. Just call the Foundation office at 386-424-5015 and we can get you all the information you need on how to transfer the real estate

Endowment

In this process, you would make a contribution to the Foundation, which will then set up a special account and invest the principal. Then we follow very prudent financial strategies to protect your money and help it grow. You can establish an endowment in your own name or in honor or in memory of someone who is special to you. The minimum investment for an Endowment at Bert Fish Medical Center is $50,000.
