Volunteer

We have over 300 people who volunteer at Bert Fish Medical Center. Every woman, man and teenager brings a special talent to our hospital, performing a wide variety of jobs from helping patients to fund-raising.

As a community hospital, Bert Fish Medical Center relies on volunteers to help support the healthcare services we offer. When you join us as a volunteer, you will spend a day in orientation, learning the responsibilities you will have in the area where you choose to work. Opportunities abound in clinical areas (like the cancer center, surgery or rehab) or in greeting people by working at the front desk or at our retail shop called The Pink Door located at 115 Live Oak Street.

We will thank you for your volunteer time by offering you special benefits and celebrations for your special group. Bert Fish Medical Center also offers volunteer opportunities to young people who are learning to give back to their community. Our Youth Volunteers program gives teenagers a chance to interact with numerous medical professionals, giving them a chance to learn more about a career in healthcare.

Please consider volunteering at Bert Fish Medical Center. You’ll make new friends and serve your community at the same time. If you would like more information, call the Volunteers Office at 386-424-5268.
