Diabetes

Welcome to the Diabetes Center at Bert Fish Medical Center. We are committed to bringing you updated information about diabetes so you can make informed decisions in your daily care. If you have never received diabetes education, ask your physician to send a referral to our Diabetes Education Program. We will call you to set up an appointment for an individual assessment and schedule the group classes or individual classes based on your needs or preferences.

Our group classes utilize a “Conversation Map” format designed to generate an interactive approach to diabetes education. Here you will learn to “be in the driver’s seat” as you make daily decisions about your diabetes. We have afternoon classes each month. Evening classes are scheduled periodically.

Don’t forget about our Diabetes Support Group that meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Wound Care Center at 600 Palmetto St.
